This machine was very close to being scrapped, but Fire Engine Services UK was tasked with restoring it to as new condition. It has been given a full restoration, including a respray, mechanical overhaul and extensive repairs, along with refurbishment of the interior and restoration of the wooden frame.
It was evident this machine had a hard life with London Fire Brigade. A complete new braking system has been fitted, and the engine and gearbox are now complete. The wood frame has now been been refurbished, and the new roof lining has been fitted. The restoration is now complete (October 2011).
